Summer in Santa Monica (well, any season for that matter) is best spent with day-to-night outings, meeting new and interesting people, and occasional naps on the beach. In between the adventures you must stop at this locals stomping ground, Ashland Hill.
Located directly off the drag of iconic Main St. on the edge of Santa Monica and Venice, Ashland Hill sits as a haven for locals and tourists alike, looking for a place of refuge from the sun, a place to cozy up during dinner, and most of all, a place to find delicious drinks and mouthwatering dishes.
Opened in 2016, Ashland Hill is owned by fifth generation Santa Monica locals, the Verge family, and their goal was to bring the local community something the neighborhood didn’t yet have: an outdoor beer garden.
Pet and people friendly, Ashland Hill offers a fantastic social hour and is one of the best places on the westside to find brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks as they specialize in gin-focused cocktails, a small selection of good wines and lots of rotating craft beers.
